The owners say they need to find someone to introduce legislation by next Tuesday if they are going to be able to get the ball rolling again. When talking about the Fairmont Hotel, people often ask, "What about the Tonga Bar? ... I don't see why putting a hotel up for sale is a bad thing. Why not get a new owner who is less financially strapped that will not try to demolish the Tonga Room to make way for a parking garage for unnecessary overpriced condominiums? ...
